The book Nate is referring to is called "The Day the MGM Grand Hotel Burned" written by Deidre Coakley with Hank Greenspun, Gary C. Gerard and the staff of the Las Vagas Sun. It was published in 1982 by Lyle Stuart Inc.

I am sure you can find it in most libraries but if you can't, you can borrow my copy (you pay postage both ways).
