NORTHERN QUEST CASINO OPENS

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Washington -- The Seattle Times is reporting that the Kalispel Tribe of Eastern Washington has opened its 53,000-square-foot, $29 million Northern Quest Casino. Located 10 miles west of Spokane, the casino is 65 miles south of the reservation. The 300-member Kalispels are one of two tribes in the nation to receive a governor's approval to build an off-reservation casino.

Northern Quest features 24 table games such as roulette, craps, blackjack and other card games. There is a poker room, a Keno parlor and 425 video machines.
