The illustration shows the obverse coated stock wrapped around the core in the same manner as is a record album jacket. The reverse (liner) is cut slightly smaller than the oveall surface and glued in position.
When used in play, and who the manufacturer was, is unknown, as the casino was closed when the pices were found in the attic in 1992.
I've checked with several European manufacturers over the years, and they are not familiar with this type of manufacture, either.
Whether "ugly" or beautiful, I thought the piece interesting enough to share with others.
