...prime time TV? Sheet, man, TV was black 'n white, or really bad color. Five cents and an Eddy's bread wrapper got me into the Fox Theatre on Saturday afternoon in Missoula Montana for some Larry Moe and Curly, Phantom, Lantern, sump'n where there was cowboys and mine shafts and someone tied to the railroad tracks... oh yeah, Lone Ranger... Then they'd do the birthday club where you might get to come up on stage and win a 45 or a huge cardboard tube full of candy that looked like a giant tootsie roll, then some Chaplin or Abbott and Costello... now THAT was livin'!
