Sorry Ron, but I have to agree with Pete on this one. It would be more helpful to publish your scale or to use a scale that is known or at least accessible.
I agree that we all have different ideas of beauty/value/etc... No one disputes that. My personal chip scale would be heavily rated on inlays--edge nicks don't bother me very much. But if my 100 point scale rated a chip a 99 because of a perfect inlay that was well centered, but it had a huge number of nicks and a couple of gouges, I'd be willing to bet I'd be burned at the stake and accused of trying to defraud fellow chippers if I didn't disclose what a 99 meant on my scale.
Does that make sense?
