I am always sincerely grateful when a casino breaks out a few racks (or chips - I'll take what I can get!! ) of nice uncirc's for the collectors... like these $1 house chips that the Trop had on-hand last week. (maybe they do that all the time? Don't know???)

But has anyone else noticed that these chips are not only new (as in uncirculated), but "new" as in different from the "old"?

Mr. Covington?????????????? C'mon... confirm this for me!! Is this merely a trick from my overwrought imagination? or a new addition to TCR? I have considered the thought that maybe I have been staring at my chips so long that I am hallucinating.

ummmm.. OLD chip on left(ya can tell by the "character" ) - new chip on right. Being Scanner-challenged - this scan does not show enough detail to clearly distinguish the definitive change... am curious to know if anyone (like everyone?? ) noticed the difference?
and if the difference even matters?
