Per Miguel Carlo's Sales List (1989):

"THE PALACE HOTEL: Older and different from THE NEW PALACE. $1.00 (HHR) Beige, nice cir. Printing weak as are all. OB $18."

I bought one examples about 10-years ago and sold it in November 2000.

Every example I've heard about fits te same description. I knew of one example having an almost full hot stamp on both sides. I never did see it, though.

All this while I thought it was in Achie's book. If I had known at the time, I would have submitted it.
