Both were pretty dirty but looked the same color as shown in the scan. Then I cleaned them both with a harsh undiluted cleaning agent that removed the dirt, but left the colors about the same. The one on the left looks faded to me, but has faded unusually uniformly.

I don't think it's ochre, though. I guess I have two identical chips.
