For other readers...That hot-stamped, plastic injection molded chip was made for The Desert Diamond Casino for use at local fairgrounds, and other such public conventions where the casino rented booth space and operated a poker table to drum up customers. They still do this from time to time and use those chips in lieu of real chips. Every hand dealt results in a winner and they give out prizes to those winners. Usually sports bottles, hats, pens and pocket knives.
The first order was a bunch of misprints, which were collected and replaced with the non-misprinted version. None of these were used inside the casino. I believe these would be advertising or promotional chips.
