This type of thing is pervasive in our society. Let's say I am selling a used car. I breaks down a week after you buy it and you sue me because I refuse to do anything for you. If my ad said that it is in "excellent working order", you win because a car that is in excellent working order should not fail in a week. If instead I had said it "rides like a dream", I win. Pick up any newspaper or listen to any radio or TV ad and you will hear misleading terminology being used to describe products.
I heard one last night that I could not believe. They were selling a $5 commemorative coin from the Mint for $5. I knew that it was too good to be true. I waiting and waited and waited. Finally at the very end of the 1 minute ad it turned out to be the Liberian Mint and not the U.S. Mint.
