Jim, I think what some people are expressing is a "convention related" item - something that may hold somewhat of an intangible value; set apart from, and not be confused with a Z value chip found at a bargain (regarded with respect; reverence, if you will).

I was shocked the first time I saw an official club convention chip being offered on a dealer's list. It seems to me that something of this nature is to be passed on to others without any monetary value attached.

Just my opinion.
