"Sometimes I feel that There is a compound in Idaho with a few to many empty bunks."
Comparing an economic boycott with radical militia groups. Nobody is pointing guns at anyone Mr. Scott.
"In our industry (Coins & Currency)...."
Chip collecting is a freaking hobby, and some of us are trying to keep it a hobby, not turn it into an industry!
"People in this country have fought many wars to preserve our right to choose freely what we as individuals deem is right for us. I can name several examples of what can, and has, happened when one or a group has not let up when another one or group has not conformed to "their" way of thinking."
Insinuating that people who participate in an economic boycott are unpatriotic, or worse, Mr. Scott?
"...he was leaning toward the "list" because he felt so much peer pressure at the show. Wow! The Bullies are back in the schoolyard!"
Now its bullies in the schoolyard, Mr. Scott? How about people educating new collectors to make their own decisions. I have yet to see you or anyone else give this collecting community an explanation as to why slabbing chips will be good for the chip collector. Not good for some industry, not good for a coin and currency dealer, but good for the chip collector.
"People that I would like to get to know better in the years to come (we can never have enough people that we look forward to spending time with) and it saddens me to think that we can't sit on the same part of the bus or use the same drinking fountain."
Now an economic boycott is the same as segregation based in racism, Mr. Scott?
"I don't get into long debates with back and forth mud slinging as I have Businesses to run..."
....I guess its only "forth mud slinging" in your cases, Mr. Scott.
When you are ready to use reasonable debate to make your points, please do. Until then, all you are doing by piling on more negative rhetoric is insult the intelligence of the chip collectors who are against slabbing, and you are showing your own severe lack of understanding of past history.
