Osceola County gave a thumbs-up yesterday for U.S. Rep. R. Keller (R), to lead the fight against casinos coming to Kissimmee.
Keller's goal will be to keep 1200 acres of land recently purchased by the Seminole Tribe of Florida from becoming a public trust.
With the land designated as a trust, it becomes Seminole Tribal land "only," and falls outside of any county or state control which local government and business leaders fear means casinos in the back yard of family tourism in Central Florida.
