Staying in a NEWER place is always good for those of us that travel far....like me ! I enjoyed the "modern-ness" of the Orleans and I have to admit it's the only 'host' hotel I've stayed at and I've been to ALL the conventions. There are arguments for and against a 'strip' location for the convention and now is not the time or place to discuss them. I'm only wondering if Gene T. would have some 'juice' at the brand new Palms next year that would seem to be a GREAT place to hold our convention providing they would have the rooms (public) to accomodate our needs.......
Just a thought.
