The N7153 Hotel Nevada, Ely on the right is at least AU and the one on the left is a very nice played chip. Shows what tricky, hard to scan little fellas these C&Js are. Of course it's not that easy as TCR lists, rather obliquely, N3234, similar (?) chip from the 70's as H&C (not in C/W)which made me do some magnifin' and comparing with other 70's era H&Cs. First imprssion, worn chip is worn but still shiney hat C&J. Further exam sez the same (to me). If a C&J collector came upon the worn example on the left by itself, it would be pegged straight away as C&J. Side by side, while there is a diff in shine, they're both C&Js while a H&C is only pretending to be shiney. Here's another pair of tricksters from that town.
