Re: Hard rock NCV Convention Chip
In Response To: Hard rock NCV Convention Chip ()

Only Warrick knows at this point.
The image he posted is a dynomite looking chip (artwork, that is). Will it be made into a real chip? From the image, it appears to be a "no value" chip (which would not require GCB approval) like the Pindex 2001 chip, though don't know if it's supposed to be oversize. If actually a NCV chip, I think it has to say so on the chip, and be approved & announced on the monthly GCB list. (Has anyone seen the May approval list yet?)

Though I hope it becomes a real chip, instead of just artwork, I do suspect that Warrick is clever enough to create the artwork and post it, just to see what BB "buzz" ensues. (The question mark at the end of his post may be telling, if so.) After all, we did give him a sorta hard time at last year's convention on the panel, though he was a very good sport and won the support of chippers in the end. The sore point at the time, if you recall, was about the limited # of $25's made for the Cinco de Mayo and Cure chips.

Related to that subject, if he has a way to issue only 500 of those CC>CC chips AND keep all the club members happy, then I appoint him Hard Rock Chip Emperor For Life! grin

One last thing, the HR CC>CC chip would need approval by the club board members (I think) in order to use the club initials. Remember the discussion about the O'Shea's chips, which received board approval? No one's asked, nor has any board member commented on approval (or ignorance about) the chip Warrick shows.

So at this point, more questions than answers. We shall see. Am I getting warm, Warrick?
