This reminds me of a story about an Amish dairy farmer. The county health board inspected his barn and told him he had to put in bulb protected electric lights so that there would be no chance of a fire from a broken bulb.
Despite his protests based on his religious beliefs, the county inspector would not budge and threatened to shut down the dairy operation unless he comlied.
The farmer reluctantly had the lights installed throughout the barn and when the inspector came back, everything appeared to be OK until the inspector turned on the light switch and nothing happened.
The farmer replied that the law only said he had to have the light fixtures installed in the barn. Nowhere did it state that they had to be connected to a power line.
Now how does this relate to the business licence? They only said you had to display the licence. Did they say how big it had to be? How about reducing it to the size of a pin head and setting it inside your logo? It's there, didn't say anybody had to read it.
