On my last Atlantic City trip I was trolling the aisles for abandoned slot cards at Trump Marina. A guy was waiting for a jack-pot pay and there was a card laying on top of his machine. I asked him if the card was his and he just looked at me. I pocketed the card and went on my merry way. Minutes later a security person asked me if I had "mistakenly" picked up any rating cards that were not mine. I indeed had the jack pot winners card in my shirt pocket. Either the guy did not speak English or did not understand me when I said "Is this YOUR card"? I gave security the guys card but the security guard said nothing about the other cards that I had.
I know this does not answer your question, but I wanted to pass the story along anyway.
