Kerry, I truly don't care what an adult person does in his spare time.
I've been playing poker for 50 years, usually in an "underground" atmosphere but never would I have thought to tell my parents about it. Now that I am retired, I play every day, but still consider it as a less-than-desirable hobby and one that I deem not suitable for my offspring. This is true even though I am a winning player.
We, as adults are different. I assume most of us can afford any losses we sustain and win, lose or draw, our life styles will not change one iota.
But it is certainly not an atmosphere to bring to children. It takes all the self discipline I can muster when I see a parent brag about his "of age" childs' gambling skills or luck.
All that said, personally, I love Las Vegas.
