Jim - I suspect you didn't see my posts some months ago when trying to determine WHAT COLOR chip I had found was.
The chip I found was "kind of purple" - kind of "cranberry - kind of "a dusty rose colored" and I was shocked and amused at the inability to determine what color it was... and the debate over the color was insightful and QUITE the learning experience for me.
"Colors" are a problem for me all the time. (right folks??) I never know what to call things... or whether my assessment of a chip is correct or not - because it depends on someone's interpretation of the color (which is fine) but then matching the chip to the interpretation isn't always easy... especially when more than one interpretation suggests more than one chip.
I understand time changes the colors... my frustration (and today amusement) stems from my reoccurring situations of:
HERE'S THE CHIP - NOW WHAT COLOR IS IT??????????
And it is not as much about the "color" - but knowing what color the books have suggested for the purpose of ID - THEN trying to apply that color to whatever chip one is being ID'ed. NOT ALWAYS an easy task!
