I'm not sure if you are "funnin," but I have friends whom I like and respect very much who feel that way about gambling. As a matter of fact, I used to feel that way myself.

I am very careful about my gambling, since I realize that it is very tantalizing. However, if done with the proper self-restraint I don't think it is any different than going to a sport event, movie, or other entertainment. The "cost of admission" is just built into the game.
