If you're not familiar with that part of the world, perhaps Top Of The Vine is a strange name for a place. Frazier Park is about an hour north of Los Angeles on I-5 and the road through those parts is known as "The Grapevine". Don't know why but it is notorious as a brake burning, radiator bustin' piece of road that rises from the San Joaquin Vally in the north and reaches about 4000 feet before dropping down into LA. The south end of the Grapevine was where the Northridge earthquake happened several years ago. I have no idea what Frazier Park is, a town or what, when you exit there you'll find a truck stop and, in the past, The Top Of The Vine, a cardroom. Very desolate area with a few cows, a few grass fires and some wrecking yards maybe. Becoming more settled I imagine with Los Angelenos spreading out trying to find someplace to live.
