about ten/twelve years ago at Caesars Palace.
A man was playing slots and his 19 year old son was with him. The man went to the men's room and told his son to watch the machine and his money. The kid played the machine and won over a million dollars. The man came back and told mgmt that he had pulled the handle. They ran back the surveillance tapes, and saw that the kid had done it. CP refused to pay.
The guy sued. He said that had the kid lost the three dollars, the casino would have taken it, even though he was under age.
Eventually, CP said that they would LOVE to pay the kid the million dollars, but if they did, they would lose their gaming license. They were victims, too! They made out Gaming Control to be the bad guys!!
The kid, his dad, and their atty. played on my dice game at the LV Club during the lawsuit. The kid kept staring up into the cameras as he played. Someone told me they were trying to build a case showing how all the casinos in LV would easily take his money when he lost, but not pay when he won. It didn't work.
