HCE Records & Dies

The HC Edwards records Mark Lighterman and I bought in FL last year has been put into book form. Mark will have them for sale at the convention at his table. I think he is offering them to other dealers also for resale.

Some news we did not make public is, we also purchased the HCE dies. Many are old NV chip dies. There are close to 400 dies.
The die tags will be in the new book.
Seldom do you ever see dies for sale as chip distributors are very protective of them.
A few have been sold to speciality collectors but Mark will have the remainder at his convention table for very reasonable prices.

The dies are being starred to protect against counterfitting of some very rare chips. Flamingo, Sands, Harolds, Harveys Wagon Wheel, Mint, Boulder Club to name a few.

I hope Steve Cutler does not mind me quoting him, when I showed him the die tags yesterday.
"This is scary"
Now you should understand the reason to star the dies.

Stop by Marks table and see a piece of chip history that is seldom seen by the average collector.
Below is an example of the die tags. The actual dies are metal and made by an ingraver. They are then inserted into a hot stamping machine. Check out TCR value on the Golden Slipper chip this die made. The Flamingo dies also made some great chips.
