This is a NCR post, but please bear with me.
Yesterday, my beautiful (and tolerant) wife Jenny graduated from the University of New Hampshire. Several years ago someone didn't take Jenny seriously because she didn't have a University degree. Mistake? Yup, big time. She came home that night and announced to me that she had enrolled at UNH. Jenny continued to work full time while taking classes, but money got tight for a while. What did she do? She reacted like a true New Englander. Got a part time job! Then she gave that up and started her own small business. (We baked and sold muffins at convenience stores for two years.) For a long, long time her schedule was: up at 5:30am, deliver her muffins, work a full day, work out at the gym instead of lunch, go to school after work, home at 10:30pm, bake 4 dozen muffins, study, sleep a few hours. She even found time to volunteer at the NH Food Bank. Jenny's schedule would have dropped any Marine in a few weeks! She did this for years!
Jenny EARNED a B.A in Communications with a minor in Fine Art. She is a Presidential Scholar (note the gold sash), Phi Beta Kappa, and Phi Kappa Phi. Her GPA was just over 3.8. Yup, graduated Suma Cum Laude!
Please take a look at the attached scan of Jenny. WOW!
