Gene; Who says the old rack is still in the A.C. cages?
Sands is still obligated to redeem "obsolete" Brighton chips. I don't know too many chippers who are willing to turn their "obsolete" Brighton's in for face value. Ditto on "obsolete" Golden Nugget and Bally's Grand "obsolete" chips. Hilton is still obligated to redeem them. I don't know whose chips they still have in their cage. I have no idea what Sol Kirzner did with Resorts 1st and 2nd issue chips when he purchased Resorts. If I were Sol, I certainly wouldn't want Merv's chips still hanging around my place. Now that Kirzner has sold Resorts to Colony.... I don't know that Colony will want Sol Kirzner's Resorts chips, tying up Colony's vault space, after they get their own rack. Does anyone think that Trump Plaza would re-introduce "obsolete" Harrah's at Trump Plaza chips? Yet they are still redeemable at Trump Plaza... but you can't purchase any of them.
Things are different out here on the east coast Gene. We don't get destruction records. Hell, we don't even know when new chips are approved by Gaming like you folks do in Nevada.
I'm content to abide by Larry's philosophy.
