.. with the florescent 15w tube! I don't know how many A.C. collectors will be interested in this latest fad. (Actually, it's not all that new... I was involved with this phenomenon immediately after Luxor opened during the club's convention and the UV markings were discovered).
I did some experimenting on that Caesars $1 chip that Dick C. had mentioned. Of the 100 $1 chips I brought home with me last weekend, I found four different UV variations. In addition to the UV H&C on the $1 .... the higher denominations have PAULSON spelled out in bright green UV.
I also discovered another interesting thing about the Harrah's Marina $1 black ring chips that were re-introduced on the tables not too long ago. Actually, they were not re-introduced after all .... they are brand new variations! The "old" original black ring chips that Harrah's opened up with are un-tagged... while the newly-stocked black ring chips light up like a Christmas tree when put under the UV light. Same thing applies to the Harrah's gray rings that were take off the tables when the black rings were brought back. Some of the gray rings glow.... other gray rings do not. Found a lot of interesting markings on other chip issues as well. Most of the new CHIPCO's glow brilliantly under the UV light! Still undecided about adding these UV variations to Black's Catalog... unless there is a big demand from A.C. collectors to include it in future issues.
I guess this new UV toy will keep me off the bb for awhile.... which a lot of folks will welcome I'm sure.
