Two years ago I was in Home Depot and saw they had one of those 6 or 7 drawer, lockable tool cabinets. Voila!! --- mini safe. Granted it could be broken into easily but at leaset it makes me feel better when my kids have one of their "get togethers".

Truth be told I usually keep my whole collection (854 chips) in 500 and a 400 chip capacity chip cases. I wind up opening the cases 5 or 6 times a week. I have to be in close proximity to my chips at all times. I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.
