Your Word lesson for today. Ctrl T in MSWord will give you an indent, but you have to learn where to put your cursor before hitting these keys cause it can be frustrating, especially when you're numbering your paragraphs. Ctrl T is a little secret you won't learn in any training class. I feel for all of you going through the MSWord adjustment period - I'm there myself. My company is still in the process of converting from WP to Word. I have used WP (5.1 to 8.0, DOS and Windows)for 10 years and I had hoped I could make it to retirement before having to learn Word. Didn't make it! Our (yours and mine) biggest problem is trying to make Word work like WP and it just doesn't work that way (I'm quoting our consultant here). There's many times a day I take Bill Gates name in vain. My company did provide training for everyone and it was customized to our company by our consultant - the only way to go in my opinion. Now I'm having to hold our engineers' hands through this whole process - and they're helping me get ahold of Excel. I've always told the engineers that I can do anything in a WP table that they can do in Excel. Excel still causes me to use a lot of swear words each day, but maybe before I retire I'll conquer it. Email me if you need any more Word lessons.
PS: Word has "reveal codes" but you have to look in about 10,000 places to see or find them. Lack of reveal codes is #1 complaint of everyone moving from WP to Word.
