"I never cash out chips. And 200 is not a lot."

That's why I was curious...
if one has a surplus,
and won't take them back,
and sales are down, then naturally an alternative option would have to be considered.
BUT if there WAS NO SURPLUS (and for most of us - there STILL is not a 'surplus'- there are NONE) - would the same offer be extended? I doubt it.
If those 100 chips went to the various services... many would "have one".
If 100 chips went to the cage and then to collectors/ chip services/ other dealers... many would have one. Would this offer be extended if there were just 40? I doubt it.
If one can't make the convention - then the inventory/ offer/ deal isn't available to them... especially with a one chip limit. Is this offer for benefit of the hobbyist? (ESPECIALLY those who "can't be there" the majority of the time ~~ AT A CRITICAL moment or time for acquistion?) I didn't get that impression.
and the idea that "a market of select individuals" could get them LESS THAN FACE - when the majority of collectors can't even get ONE... I don't know- maybe I am "HARRAH'S stuck in selfish" but THAT is troubling to me.
IT seems realistic that if the money was rolling in on these MM chips - I doubt they'd be offered at face or less than face.
So: IF ya
Don't want 'em ($700+ worth!! WHO WOULD!! )
Can't sell 'em
Won't return them
Won't share them...
Won't give them away or
Won't throw them away (I'll take up dumpster divin'!)
... I dunno... - is this REALLY a generous offer?
or finding a means of "having your chips and selling them too?"
I'm sorry - but I NOT convinced.
