... Chapter meeting in April 2000 will forever remain one of the highlights of my chipping career.

He handled to his personal adversity, including the death of his wife Arlene, with grace, dignity and an indomitable spirit that was an inspiration to me at a time when I needed it very much.

Thank you, Bruce, for your kindness to Gene during his long illness, and for keeping us all informed. Chippers everywhere, whether they knew Gene personally or not, will miss him very much.
