Which is also to say "Federal and state laws" do not dictate ownership. I suspect the regulation cited at the bottom addresses use, and not ownership, but I don't know that for a fact. If anybody has a copy of the regs I'd like to see the exact passage.
I would find it highly contradictory for a casino to sell LEs and also display that sign. That would seem to be the case with AC. But some casinos are absolutely convinced that gaming regulations prohibit the sale of casino chips from the cage. Since they are only for gaming purposes, they can only by acquired by buying in at the tables. Casinos with this attitude generally don't do the LE thing.
The scariest thing is, can a casino displaying this sign, regardless of any gaming regulation, prosecute you for theft for removing quantities of their chips with the intent of not returning them?
And while we're at it, do federal and state laws prohibit the removal of regulatory signs from gaming establishments ?
