Yep and nope Archie.
"Just like exceeding the speed limit or cheating on one's spouse, huh, Bob? Many do it, but don't get caught, is your advice!"
Apples and oranges in both comparisons my friend. Exceeding the speed limit is sometimes necessary to keep from getting run over due to the flow of traffic. Cheating on a spouse is a choice not necessary under any circumstance that I can think of.
"I can't compare the insignificant "crime" of roulette harvesting to many other infractions that take place in casinos every day... whether it be removing food from the buffet or hustling drinks while not playing or taking ashtrays and/or towells from the rooms.... not to mention ice machines!"
Of course you can't Archie! You lift stacks! Re-introduce a towel or ashtray to a room at a higher value than it was when you removed it!
Stuff a drumstick into your pocket from a buffet and try to return to the buffet and claim that the drumstick is a seafood buffet ticket! Try exchanging a beer in a plastic cup that you hustled by sitting at a nickle slot for a bottle of Dom at a $100 slot!
""Compromising the integrity of the game indeed." 'Gimme a break!'"
"indeed" was added by you to my statement. Compromising the integrity of the game really is what its about.
I thought you just might welcome my softened stance on harvesting of roulette chips. Frankly I'm surprised that you've chosen to lessen the real impact on the game of roulette by diving deeper to justify the harvesting habits of some people. ....food and drinks?!? Sheesh!
