In fact, you're right, I should have reviewed the thread. I got kind of carried with the flow. And I'm glad you share my view on labels. My political views could be described, I suppose, as eclectic. Certainly my experiences in life have shaped what those views are now, as compared to what they were when I was a young man. And I suppose (hope) that they will continue to be formed as I learn more in life.
