There was a recent thread regarding the "DENNIS"
chip. I found the following documentation in our
1995 club auction catalog:

Lot 55 - N.D. Dennis - San Bruno, Calif. (Circa:
1970s). Mold: Plain Crest and Seal. The check was
made by Dennis, the son of Artichoke Joe of San
Bruno. Used condition. Estimated value: $15-$20.
Price realized: $68.00.
