Was in 10th Air Division. Flew the 119's out to Attu, Adak, Sheymya, Cape Romanzof, Cape Newenham, Bethel Island, and some of those terrible sites above Fairbanks. Survival bivouc'd with Royal Can. AF twice a year and those Army Ari rescue guys out of Richardson. Old Huey Banana copters took us to the totop of the Range and skied with 60 lb packs down to the tundra for pickup two weeks later ...w60 lb packs and I weighed 130!!!. used to shoot caribou for the natives to provide meat..... and my experiences in poker very minor activity since I never had much spendable income as a GI. Never saw a "chip" ...all cash and IOU's til payday. More fun that cardrooms now..
