There have been a lot of good points made in this thread about why the
ratings for the WS were low. My comments were not based on people from any particular area of the country. I live in MD, the east. I could easily have watched. The times would not have stopped me if there was a team I like even a little. I just did not have an interest in a WS between 2 NY teams. I have rooted against NY teams all my life. I will continue to do so.
Another reason for the lower ratings is there was only one TV market with
real fan interest. Two NY teams but the same fan base area. A team from another market increases the fan base and therefore the viewers. Yes, you would lose some NY fans but I think there would be a net gain from a larger area of the country.
Anyway, congratulations to the Yankees and their fans.
