Florida bought and sold it, within the space of two years. I had the Marlins to win the World Series that year in Spring Training, at 12-to-1 at the Aladdin - still my favorite hotel. When they won it, I'll be damned if they didn't announce the closing of the hotel right at Thanksgiving of that year, a few days after the Series ended. In a panic, I flew out there to make sure I could collect my $3900 - I didn't know if they were going bankrupt or what. There was no problem, they paid it right up at the deserted sports book. I also picked up a lot of Aladdin keepsakes. I'm dying to see the new Aladdin.

As far as not saluting the Yankees, that must make 26 times you've failed to stand at attention for them. You can get some serious pokey time for that, can't you? <G>
