Reading all the above posts its impossible to disagree with what is said.
there are however those of us that would like to have samples of many of these products and don't have the ability to attend these shows. In my case because I live on the East Coast.
It is inevitable that some of these chips will one way or another come to market. I'm sure you will have to agree that it would be sort of unfair to deny the rest of the collecting community access to these items simply based upon their inability to attend these events.
Since the chip manufacturers initially produce these items as giveaways to potential clients, I'm sure that they also realize that there exist collectors for their products. Perhaps they should produce a sufficient amount that would allow sales at nominal cost to their collecting public,it would satisfy the hunger of the collectors, give them free advertising and create general good will. Those with proper credentials could still obtain them for free.
I think the chip producing community is wise enough to realize that we as the collectors are their best customers over the long haul.
