Charles, I would agree. When I was there in 1999 I found the food in Venice the same but if you got out of the town the food was alot better. We stayed in a small town called Asolo and the food and hospitallity was outstanding. Did you have there version of ice cream, GELATO? The wife and I love it. When we stay at the Venetian we always get some.....
