We did the same thing in Texas back in the mid-eighties. We would set up tables in bars and people would pay to play for fun!!
We compared it to pool. In pool, you pay your quarter until the balls are gone. In blackjack, we charged $10.00 for $1000.00 in chips (minimum bet was $100.00), and you played until the chips were gone.
We made a killing at a little bar across from UT. Frat boys with their daddy's credit cards, trying to impress girls!!
We used the cheapest, plainest chips available. (Shown here.) I've still got a couple of thousand of these if anyone wants to trade!
