All of your sea stories remind me of my Uncle, Rodney Jacobs, who recently passed away. He was in the Navy during WWII and was just weeks ago was telling me stories of the Typhoons that Halsey encountered (my mom had just recently purchased the video from the History channel) and how he was in the engine room and a very integral part of the rescues. I wish he would have lived closer and longer so that I could have shared in more of his experiences. He will be missed.
