Travis...use of the club logo by dealers or individuals in ads is necessary for a member to know they are dealing with another member. This places both parties in a position of trust and the knowledge that the transaction can be reviewed if nec. should one of them feel they were treated unfairly. What do I do if I feel my chip was graded unfairly appeal to the club? Because a business has a club member does not imply the use of the logo. This is in no way a knock on the magazine in any way shape or form. That is a quality product I'm very proud of displaying. This is to protect a logo that I am equally proud of because of it's meaning to me and other members. The can of worms that has be opened here is what happens in any dispute? Will the club expel members of a business if the business does not comply with the rules of the club? If in fact it was the business and not the members who were in violation? This is NOT a slabbing issue...alone...it is much more and can develop into a nightmare in the event of a dispute. The club offers more than just a sharing of the hobby, a great convention, a great magazine. It offers us protection against those who do not have ethical standards. I'll have to attend the business meeting.
