Dear Mr. Bob, please do not put words in my mouth! No where in any of my conversations or post did I say I was "pro slabbbing" thank you very much! I believe in the free enterprise system. Here in Las Vegas recently, the Clark County Commissioners refused to allow WalMart to build 2 Superstores with groceries, because the other union employed stores complained that jobs would be lost etc. due to unfair low prices.
Guess what? Wal Mart Won! We now have 2 lovely low priced Super WalMarts here. Does this sound familiar? Let any legitimate new product try to come to market, let the members vote with their pocketbooks, and not by rhetoric & threats. Slabbing will not be successful in our hobby, a. We are too cheap a bunch, b. We all love to caress our beloved chips, c. the only slabs we really love is a 5lb. maple cured bacon one. Enjoy the convention Bob ... don't worry ... be happy!
By the way for thr record I will not encase my pork chips ... in their pork slab, and yes I decided all of this without signing your Boy Scout list.
