I agree that to the novice the use of the Club logo would seem to mean that the club approves of the ICG position. However, I think we must be careful before we start prohibiting ads. I am troubled by telling the club that slabbing companies cannot advertise; I am not uncomfortable in prohibiting the use of our Club logo in commercial ads. Although that would mean that true friends of the club and presumably anti-slabbers would also be forbidden to put the Club logo in their ads. I think that the Club can ban sales of slabbed chips if the Board so directs or we pass a by-law prohibiting it. After all we do not permit sales of coins or stamps (though I have seen coins for sale at the Convention). If we ban sales of slabbed chips then I think the Board could also ban Ads from ICG or any party who offers slabbing services or chips in their ads. I think we need a big turn out at the business meeting.
