Hey Scott!
You will find many different UV markings of various chips - mainly PaulSon, BJ & CHIPCO. Many others (including PaulSon & BJ) also have fluorescent die in some of the inks and/or chip materials.
If you check out pages 41-43 of CHIPOLOGY 101 (a pdf version is available on the CC>CC web site under the "reference" section, or you can go there directly at:
http://www.ccgtcc.com/chipology.htm
to download a copy. There are also two CD's in the Club Library - contact Robert Pardue for information on how to "check out a CD"...) you will see a few different types of UV markings.
Also I have found 13 different sizes of UV Hat & Canes, as well as many with text - or initials or names on them.
There are also two different colors of UV markings, Orange and Blue/Green. I believe that the orange UV markings are older than the Blue/Green.
If you are interested in UV Marks on $5 chips that are other than H&C's - then check out some of the Barbary Coast (H&C with a either 98, or 99), Caesars Palace, MGM & The Rio chips and a few others. Also, many of the early Riverboat chips (eg Emerald Lady & Diamond Lady also have "Greenbridge" in several rows...
Also on the first issue Mirage as well as Nevada Landing, Gold Strike & Primadona $25 also have three concentric rings, that are in rows all over the inlay.
On PaulSon chips (not all - yet most of the modern chips) with demonination of $25 and higher contain a UV "PAULSON" on them. The one chip I'd like to know if there are more of, is like the one below:
Which is a Four Queens $25 chip and on one side it exhibits two instances of the UV "PAULSON" and the Princess Cruise Lines Logo!!!
If anyone has a similar chip - PLEASE let me know!!!
If you have any questions on the fun world of UV - please ask - as either myself or others here on the BB will be glad to answer them.
Regards,
Dick
P.S. To date, I have not seen any UV markings on the LUXOR $5 or higher chips. If you find any - please let us know!!!
