I do not owe you or Brien anything even as much as to answer your questions. Because of a few posts & because at this time I will not answer your questions you make claims. You cast judgements. You are wrong Mr. Blackburn. Believe what you want so many already do.
I do support my grading system to the stand that people should know the condition of their chips. I have already stated I am not forcing anyone to use it.
Do I suport a 70 point scale? NO.
What I have seen as a collector/dealer/ trader/ broker is this: Values have risen beyond imagination. As you know I have been into the hobby for many years. Colectors are looking at conditionmore than ever. New & old collectors alike. They should! They are spending more money. This is due directly to demand. The hobby has grown, new people get involved, & now they want the better chips. This forces up the values. It is not false. Chips are exciting. And they are exciting new collectors. I meet & deal with new ones all the time. I spend the better part of the day some days answering emails & phone calls from collectors. I put many hours each day into this hobby. I am constantly adding new information to my files as I am addicted to being on top of things. Other people rely on me to be. That is why we can write about the chips in out market report articles.
We have an organized hobby. I hear baseball card collectors don't even have a club. They have shows, & magazines like us but no organized club.
I am pleased to know you "were" wanting to meet me & "were" interested in my book. Sorry I have soured you on that. I am sure you will enjoy the hobby regardless. Glad to know you have been a collector for so long. There is only a small percentage I feel that were picking up chips so long ago, but yet really it's so recent.
