As a newer member to the club and to chip collecting I have turned to you, my more experienced chip mentors out there, to answer my questions and provide guidance. I feel you all have had a part in "raising me" by reading your posts, monitoring your comments, and asking dumb questions. I have been educated on everything from chip types and molds to slabbing. And I thank you for that. I have yet to get off the fence either way because I want to educate myself further at the Conventions seminar on Slabbing. I have many questions that still need to be answered. I know by speaking with my fellow newbie collectors out there that I am not the only one in this position. And to be honest with you, I dont know any of you well enough or personally so I may be way out of line. I feel that by taking me in and teaching me your hobby, as you have done for members past and present, there is an underlying family here that will continue to grow. So why does it bother me the way some of you have acted towards each other in the past day. I wonder if the person you were addressing were standing in front of you, would you act differently? One thing about a post board is feelings cannot be transcribed. They cant see you smile as your typing so they dont know you may be kidding. Peoples feelings are being hurt. People are placing blamed. Is it possible that the same people that caused this controversy are now sitting back and laughing at all of us....there mission accomplished? I look forward to meeting you all at the Convention.
