I agree entirely with your statement that the ad implies Club endorsement. I would take issue with the following, however.

"Perhaps publishing that agenda will allow y'all to get feedback from the membership at large and it would give us time to think on the issues."

It is too late to publish any agenda to the entire menbership. Publishing on the Board would reach only a minority of the 2000+ active members.

"Feedback" would occur from that small minority of the readers who actually post their opinions. As a result, it may not reflect the actual opinions of the membership. (An example: less than 300 on the "List" -- what do the other 1700+ think? They sure wouldn't risk the vitriol by posting a contrary opinion.)

As far as "thinking on the issues" is concerned it is something we should all do more of. However, many of the decisions the Board makes are not subject to a vote of the Membership. Many of them are short lead-time items. We elected them to deal with these things and, if they don't get it right, we "un-elect" them.

We regular readers & posters need to occasionally remind ourselves that we are only a small portion of this great club and that the world will not rise or fall on our meager postings.
