I think it is absloutely ludicrous that the editors of our magazine are being attacked and asked to explain their position over an ad that complies with the published advertising policies. John and Allan donate more time to the Club than any other volunteers and this is the thanks they get? John and Allan also work on Convention items, marketing pieces and are involved in things most of your would never think about. Since when does their position on slabbing have any thing to do with publishing a magazine? Maybe the question ought to be; which one of you "ad editors" is going to step up to do the magazine when they quit in disgust?

This constant blaming of the Board for anything to do with slabbing is getting old. I have probably closer contact with the Board than most all other members because of my responsibilites as Convention Chairman. I can tell you that most of you have no idea how most of the Board personally feels about slabbing. Remember this Board is responsible to all members, not just their personal beliefs, not just the posters on this board, but to all members. I can assure you all the Board members have the best interest of the Club at heart.

As for taking a vote at the Club business meeting, do you want 87 people deciding an issue for the full membership? That is the highest number to ever attend a Board meeting. How many of the people on this board have ever taken time to even attend one of these meetings? I would venture a guess of less than 20.

Last, but not least. Why is it that the people who complain the most are (with a very few exceptions) the ones who do absolutely nothing for the Club? Ask yourself, what have I done to support the Club? Most of you will come up empty.
